On April 18th, the Senate voted to block the bipartisan Manchin-Toomey amendment, designed to prevent guns from getting into the hands of those who should not have them by expanding background checks. The amendment needed 60 votes to move forward but was defeated 54-46.
Now the House could have the opportunity to address current gun control laws. In light of Sandy Hook, the Aurora movie theater shooting and the recent shootings on the streets of Chicago, I want to hear from you on how Congress should address gun laws.
