Project Name: Randall Road Improvement Project

Amount of Request: $20,000,000
Intended Recipient: County of McHenry, Illinois
Explanation of Request: Project to facilitate significant improvements and expansion to Randall Road, a major thoroughfare through McHenry County. Planned improvements for Randall Road include road widening to six lanes of traffic, various intersection improvements, installation of a multi-use path on the east side of the road and a sidewalk on the west side. These changes will increase capacity and safety and encourage economic growth within the area.

Project Name: McGaw YMCA Men's Residence Hall Renovation Project

Amount of Request: $2,000,000
Intended Recipient: McGaw YMCA
Explanation of Request: Project to assist with significant renovations and upgrades to the men’s residence facility at the McGaw YMCA in Evanston, Illinois. Planned improvements to this property include renovation of all existing SRO units, newly renovated restrooms, installation of new showers and changing rooms, installation of a new community room and new kitchenette and laundry facilities, new flooring and windows throughout the structure. This institution plays a key role in providing affordable housing to members of the local community, and these renovations are long overdue for the aging structure.

Project Name: Indian Boundary Park Rehabilitation Project

Intended Recipient: Chicago Park District
Explanation of Request: Project will provide for significant updates and improvements to Indian Boundary Park in Chicago, Illinois. Planned improvements include a new playground, ADA accessible paving, site amenities including park benches, and landscaping.

Project Name: Village of Cary Downtown Streetscape Improvements Project

Intended Recipient: Village of Cary, Illinois
Explanation of Request: Project will provide for engineering and construction of Phase II of the Village of Cary’s downtown streetscape project. Phase II includes construction of a community plaza, and design and construction of Alfresco Alley on Spring Street. These improvements will help continue the revitalization of Cary’s business community downtown.

Project Name: Hawthorn Woods Uptown Corridor Utility Project

Intended Recipient: Village of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois
Explanation of Request: Project includes water main and sanitary sewer extension to key areas of the Village that are ripe for development and economic growth. Lack of connection to municipal water and sewer services in this area have previously hindered attempts at developing and revitalizing this potentially vibrant commercial corridor.

Project Name: Skokie Park District's Neighborhood Parks Rehabilitation Project

Explanation of Request: Project will provide for significant improvements to three neighborhood parks within the Village of Skokie. Planned improvements include but are not limited to new playground equipment, new surfacing, new benches and water fountains for each location and several improvements to sports fields and courts.

Project Name: Algonquin Eastgate Branch Library Rehabilitation Project

Intended Recipient: Algonquin Public Library District
Explanation of Request: Project will provide for renovations to Eastgate Branch Library in Algonquin, Illinois. Planned improvements include installation of a new ADA-compliant elevator, ADA-compliant restrooms, a new roof, new HVAC systems, and other life safety systems to ensure that this library can serve it surrounding community safely and efficiently.

Project Name: Turf Field & Updates to Joseph Brennemann Elementary School

Explanation of Request: Project will facilitate outdoor improvements at Joseph Brennemann Elementary School. Planned improvements include installation of an artificial turf soccer field and the associated stormwater systems underneath, in addition to concrete containment curbs, lighting, and associated electrical work.

Project Name: Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago – Pederson McCormick Accessibility Improvements Project

Explanation of Request: Project will provide for the installation of a new elevator and ADA-accessible ramp at the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago’s Pederson McCormick Club. These improvements ensure that this facility can be safely utilized by all members of the public, as the front and back entrances are currently only accessible via large staircases.

Project Name: Music Institute of Chicago's Evanston East Campus Building Rehabilitation Project

Intended Recipient: Music Institute of Chicago
Explanation of Request: Project will provide for the rehabilitation of the main building of their Evanston East campus. Improvements include exterior spot pointing, rebuilding the structure’s front staircase and entrance platform, restoration of the building’s historic exterior doors, and installation of a new security system. These improvements will ensure the safe use of this structure for hundreds of students who attend class each week in addition to members of the public.

Project Name: Jewish Community Centers of Chicago’s Turf Field, Open Air Pavilion, and Splash Pad Project

Project Name: Long Grove Lake Michigan Water Supply Connection Project

Amount of Request: $2,364,824
Intended Recipient: Village of Long Grove, Illinois
Explanation of Request: This project would facilitate the Village of Long Grove’s connection to safe drinking water provided by Lake Michigan water infrastructure. Long Grove currently draws its drinking water from ground wells affected by radium and posing a public health risk.

Explanation of Request: This project would provide for the re-establishment of Crystal Creek, providing for appropriate flow of storm and flood waters and alleviating harm to surrounding areas outside the designated creek area.
