Request a Flag Flown over the U.S. Capitol

Thank you for trusting me and my fantastic team to serve you all these years. It has been the honor of my life to represent you in Congress, and providing excellent constituent service has always been one of my top priorities.
I am retiring from Congress when my term ends on January 2, which is just a few months away. As my time in Congress comes to a close, our office must receive all flag orders by November 15. After that date, please contact Senator Tammy Duckworth’s office for assistance with flag orders.
You can submit a flag request through Senator Duckworth’s website: https://www.duckworth.senate.gov/help/flag-requests. If you need further assistance, you can call Senator Duckworth’s Washington office at (202) 224-2854.
Thank you again for the opportunity to serve you.
If you would like to order a U.S. flag from our office, please use the flag order form to calculate the price and shipping costs.

Flags are available in different sizes and fabrics. All flag purchases include a dedication message, which may be customized for the recipient. You may choose to have your new flag flown over the U.S. Capitol for an additional charge. Flags flown over the Capitol include a certificate, which may be personalized for a particular person, event, or organization.

Care of the Flag

Clean your flag regularly. Outdoor flags can be hand-washed with warm water and a mild soap, then rinsed and laid flat to dry. Professional dry cleaning is recommended for indoor flags. Damaged flags can be repaired and used as long as the overall dimensions are not noticeably altered. American Legion Posts and local governments often have facilities to dispose of unserviceable flags. Store your flag in a clean, well ventilated area.
