REPRESENTATIVE SCHAKOWSKY TOURS SMALL BUSINESSES IN SKOKIE WITH MAYOR GEORGE VAN DUSEN & CHAMBER OF COMMERCE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR LISA EDELSON

WASHINGTON, D.C. U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) today toured small businesses on Oakton Street in Skokie and met with small business. Mayor George Van Dusen and Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Lisa Edelson joined Representative Schakowsky on the tour.

During the tour, Representative Schakowsky provided small business owners with valuable information from the Small Business Administration to assist them in small business development and planning and Y2K preparedness. Representative Schakowsky also asked small business owners to fill out a survey to help pinpoint issues of importance to small businesses in Skokie.

Representative Schakowsky said, "I hope to serve as a resource to the thousands of small businesses in the 9th Congressional District by providing small business owners the assistance they need to become and remain successful."
