SCHAKOWSKY: BUSH ADMINISTRATION MISSTATEMENT OF THE DAY -
COST OF IRAQI WAR

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) issued "The Bush Administration Misstatement of the Day" on the cost of the Iraqi war.

President Bush today said that he was "delighted" with the way things are going at the United Nations and that he expects "nations to contribute as they see fit" to the efforts in Iraq. (Fox News, 6/8/04)

However, President Bush has failed to acknowledge that a majority of American taxpayers are not "delighted" because they are bearing the financial burden for the war in Iraq.
