SCHAKOWSKY: BUSH ADMINISTRATION'S MISSTATEMENT OF THE DAY -
WHITE HOUSE 2003 RECORD

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) issued today's "Bush Administration's Misstatement of the Day" on the record of the White House in 2003.

During a news conference today, President Bush said that in 2003, the United States is "safer, more prosperous, better nation." President Bush also added, "We have a lot to be thankful for in 2003."

However, a report released by the Center for American Progress titled "2003: A Year of Distortion for the American People" sets the record straight about the Bush Administration's dismal policies on health care, the economy, the environment, education, Iraq, Afghanistan and homeland Security.
