SCHAKOWSKY CONGRATULATES CHICAGO BEARS ON A REMARKABLE SEASON | ||
| CHICAGO, IL–U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky released the following statement on the Chicago Bears 2006-7 Season: "While all Chicagoans hoped for a different outcome, we owe the Bears congratulations for keeping us glued to our televisions through the very end of the season. Lovie Smith sealed his own place in history as a disciplined, charismatic leader and as one of two African American coaches to lead his team to the Super Bowl. Three cheers for Lovie Smith, Rex Grossman, Brian Urlacher, Devin Hester, Thomas Jones, Cedric Benson, and all of "da Bears," for making Chicago proud. It won't be too long until Chicagoans do the Super Bowl Shuffle once again." |
