SCHAKOWSKY ISSUES WARNING
TO REPUBLICANS FOLLOWING
PASSAGE OF SHAM MEDICARE PRESCRIPTION DRUG BILL

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) issued a warning to her Republican colleagues early this morning after they voted for legislation that will dismantle Medicare, do little to reduce the price of drugs, and cost millions of senior more than they pay now for prescriptions, while generating $130 billion in windfall profits for drug companies.

"If you voted for this bill, you better put on your running shoes, because senior citizens are coming after you," Schakowsky said.
