Schakowsky Named Chair of the Intelligence Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations

SCHAKOWSKY NAMED CHAIR OF THE INTELLIGENCE SUBCOMMITTEE ON OVERSIGHT AND INVESTIGATIONS

Washington, D.C.--U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) was named the Chairwoman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence's Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.

"I'm honored to be the new Chairwoman of the Intelligence Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. The Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations reviews the policies and practices of the intelligence community, including the use of private security contractors, anti-terrorism activities, rendition, detainee treatment, and budget priorities.
