FROM THE ALLIANCE FOR RETIRED AMERICANS
WASHINGTON, D.C. -The Alliance for Retired Americans honored U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) today for her commitment to seniors. Schakowsky received a 100% rating from the Alliance, a nationwide grassroots organization of more than 2.5 million union retirees working together to shape policies and politics.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -The Alliance for Retired Americans honored U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) today for her commitment to seniors. Schakowsky received a 100% rating from the Alliance, a nationwide grassroots organization of more than 2.5 million union retirees working together to shape policies and politics.
"The voice of the Alliance resonates loud and clear in halls of Congress. I am proud to stand with the 2.5 million Alliance members as we battle to preserve Social Security and Medicare and to enact a comprehensive, affordable, and voluntary prescription drug benefit under Medicare," Schakowsky said.
The Alliance's voting record rates Members of Congress on 10 votes of particular importance to older and disabled Americans - Medicare, prescription drug prices, the budget, Social Security and pensions.
