Schakowsky slams Trump Administration's intent to sabotage the ACA by weakening coverage for women

Today, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky released the following statement after yet another White House leak divulged the Administration’s intent to broaden employers’ ability to deny women access to contraceptive care under the Affordable Care Act:

“Not only is President Trump continuing his shameful campaign of Obamacare sabotage, he is doing it at enormous cost to women across the country. Today he is taking aim at women’s access to birth control – something I never thought we would be debating in the 21st century. An employer’s views should not trump the right of a woman to make her own health care decisions. If the Trump Administration goes forward with their plan to allow employers to pick and choose what health care coverage women receive, they do so at their own peril. The women of America are watching.”
