SCHAKOWSKY STATEMENT ON ELECTION OF REP. JAMES CLYBURN AS DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS CHAIR
WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), a chief deputy Democratic whip, today released the following statement on the election of Congressman James Clyburn as the Democratic Caucus Chair:
"Today's unanimous vote to appoint Congressman Jim Clyburn Chair of the Democratic Caucus is a tribute to Jim's leadership and integrity. Congressman Clyburn is a principled leader who, as Vice Chair, has earned the trust and respect of all Democrats.
