Schakowsky Statement on Reports that Jews were told to 'Register' in Ukraine

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Jan Schakowsky released the following statement today regarding reports of Jews in Ukraine being confronted and told to register:

"Reports that Jews leaving a Passover service in Donestk, Ukraine were confronted by masked men and told to register as Jews or leave the area are chilling. I applaud Secretary John Kerry for his immediate condemnation of those actions. We must ensure that whoever is responsible is held accountable and press all parties in the region to make sure that there is an end to anti-Semitic threats.”
