SCHAKOWSKY STATEMENT ON TERRORIST ATTACKS IN MUMBAI | ||
Washington, D.C.--U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, released the following statement today in response to the deadly terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India. "I strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attacks in Mumbai. My heart goes out to all the people of India and the tourists who were affected, including some from the Chicagoland area. The U.S. and India share a deep and lasting commitment to the principles of freedom and democracy. These terrorist attacks will only strengthen our resolve to defeat those who want to destroy our way of life. The U.S. will work closely with India and our allies around the world to bring these terrorists to justice." |
