House Democrats Hold Press Conference Reaffirming Support for End of Title 42

House Democrats will gather at the House Triangle to hold a press conference in support of the end of Title 42. The press conference will follow a hearing in the House Judiciary Committee during which Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas will testify on Title 42 and other immigration policies. More than 1.7 million people have been expelled under Title 42, a shortsighted, xenophobic policy that left migrants with no legal process to seek humanitarian protections established under U.S. law. The policy is set to lift on May 23.
