The Energy and Commerce Committee is considering the Republican bill that would repeal the Affordable Care Act and take away healthcare from Americans. This was my opening statement earlier today.
Earlier today, I spoke on the House floor about why I oppose the Republican plot to take healthcare away from Americans. I'm going to spend the next few days in the Energy and Commerce Committee fighting on behalf of working men and women in this country, and doing everything I can to make sure this bill is stopped in its tracks.
Republicans have yet to show us their plan to replace the Affordable Care Act, but many of my constituents are extremely worried about what ACA repeal would mean for their healthcare. On this ACA Day of Action, I decided to share some of their stories. As always, I welcome your comments, stories, and concerns.
