SCHAKOWSKY STATEMENT ON PRESIDENT BUSH'S FAILED IRAQ STRATEGY

CHICAGO, IL - U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky, a founding member of the Out-of-Iraq caucus, today released the following statement in response to President Bush's speech laying out his administration's Iraq strategy:

"On a political damage control mission today, President Bush offered more of the same failed war strategy. Rather than laying out an exit strategy, President Bush continued to draw false links between 9/11 and the war in Iraq, and ignore the growing chaos and violence facing our soldiers."
