SCHAKOWSKY APPLAUDS LETTER SIGNED BY 200 ORGANIZATIONS CALLING
ON CHAIRMAN GREENSPAN TO CURTAIL PREDATORY LENDING

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) today applauded the effort by more than 200 organizations calling on Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan to use his authority to curtail predatory lending.

"This is an impressive grassroots effort. I hope that Chairman Greenspan will take respond and act by sendng a loud message to predatory lenders that they will no longer be permitted to rob homeowners of their homes," Schakowsky said.
