The Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Commerce of the Committee on Energy and Commerce held a virtual, fully remote hearing on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 12 p.m. This was a virtual, fully remote hearing rather than a hybrid hearing. The hearing is entitled, "Investing in American Jobs: Legislation to Strengthen Manufacturing and Competitiveness."

Texas's abortion ban has ended almost ALL abortion care in the state. We need a federal law that protects abortion access against unconstitutional bans. That's what the Women's Health Protection Act does. I voted for #WHPA because WOMEN ARE NOT GOING BACK.

Today I testified before the Rules Committee in support of the Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA). WHPA will codify a woman's right to decide to have an abortion, as protected by the Roe v Wade case decided by the Supreme Court 50 years ago.
