SCHAKOWSKY ANNOUNCES MORE THAN $1 MILLION IN FEDERAL FUNDING
FOR DES PLAINES

DES PLAINES, IL - U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) today announced that she successfully secured more than one million dollars in federal funding for Des Plaines. The federal dollars were included in the Fiscal Year 2005 Omnibus Appropriations spending bill.

NILES, IL - U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) today announced that she secured federal law enforcement funds for the Village of Niles. The $150,000 in federal funding was included in the Fiscal Year 2005 Omnibus Appropriations spending bill.

CHICAGO, IL-During the Great Lakes Regional Collaboration Meeting held Friday in Chicago, U.S. Reps. Mark Kirk (R-IL), Rahm Emanuel (D-IL), Judy Biggert (R-IL) and Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) laid out an aggressive strategy to fight pollution and invasive species in the Great Lakes.
