WASHINGTON, DC – Following today’s passage of the Opioid Crisis Response Act in the House of Representatives, Congressional Progressive Caucus Co-Chairs Mark Pocan (WI-02) and Raúl M. Today, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky introduced H.R. 6903, the Safe Cosmetics and Personal Care Products Act of 2018. This bill calls for the full disclosure of all ingredients included in beauty and personal care products including fragrances. It also outright bans toxic ingredients, like carcinogens, in those products. After introducing the Safe Cosmetics Act, Rep. Schakowsky released the following statement:
