WASHINGTON, DC – One day after the National Football League (NFL) admitted at a House Energy and Commerce Committee roundtable that there is a link between football and degenerative brain disorders, Democratic leaders of the House Energy and Commerce Committee today sent a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell asking what the League plans to do now to prevent repetitive brain trauma.

Today, Rep. Jan Schakowsky (IL-09) released the following statement after violent attacks in Israel which led to the death of American student Taylor Force:

“I am disturbed and saddened to learn of the death of former U.S. Army officer and Vanderbilt student Taylor Force who was senselessly murdered in Tel Aviv yesterday. This attack wounded 10 other innocent victims and is yet another tragic example of violence in the region. It is time to seek long-lasting solutions to stop these recurring cycles of horrific violence."
