WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (IL-09), a Chief Deputy Whip and member of the Congressional Labor Caucus, and Co-Chairs of the Labor Caucus Reps. Debbie Dingell (MI-06), Steven Horsford (NV-04), Donald Norcross (NJ-01), and Mark Pocan (WI-02) led over 120 Democratic Members of Congress in a letter urging Maximus to respect the voices of their employees by pledging not to interfere in any union organizing activities and adopting a neutrality agreement.    

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (IL-09), member of the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission, and U.S. Representative Raúl M. Grijalva (AZ-07) led five of their colleagues in a letter to U.S. Secretary State Antony Blinken urging the United States to take action to address human trafficking by member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates).

WASHINGTON- Today, on the 34th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (IL-09) reintroduced the Eleanor Smith Inclusive Home Design Act. This legislation would make new homes more accessible for those living with disabilities, including many of our seniors and veterans.  

Washington – Today, U.S. Representatives Jan Schakowsky (IL-09) and Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) introduced “Anna's Law.” This legislation would expand trauma-informed training for law enforcement personnel related to sexual assault cases.
