This week I talk about the Build Back Better package that we will vote on this coming week to provide some relief to American families and help boost our economy. And, I greet some trick-or-treaters. Happy Halloween.

Thank you to the people of Illinois’ 9th Congressional District for once again choosing me to be your voice in Congress. It truly is the honor of a lifetime! The fight for equal rights for all, an economy that works for everyday Americans, not just the rich, reproductive rights, and environmental protections goes on. Keep the faith. Let's get to work.
This week, I discuss the House passage of the Build Back Better Act. I also talk about Transgender Awareness Week and Remembrance Day, as well as some other important updates. #BuildBackBetter#TransAwareness
It is great to be back in the 9th Congressional District after Congress successfully passed a continuing resolution to keep our government funded until December 20, 2024. The bill passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 341-82. I am glad Democrats and Republicans were able to reach a bipartisan agreement to put the needs of everyday Americans first, and I am hoping we will be able to reach another bipartisan agreement at the end of the year to avert a government shutdown.
Updates on the coronavirus, Amy Coney Barrett, and discussions on COVID-19 relief package.
Here's my weekly video update for my constituents. I address President Trump's COVID diagnosis, the latest Coronavirus numbers, votes by the House to condemn QAnon and the forced sterilization of women in ICE custody, and other updates.
In this week's update, I talk about the latest on Coronavirus numbers and the ongoing relief package negotiations. And remind everyone to get out and vote!
It has been 24 days since Hamas’ horrifying terrorist attack on Israel, in which more than 1,400 Israelis were killed and over 5,400 injured. Hamas also captured over 200 hostages, including several Americans. Jewish communities around the world are in shock, grieving, and scared of the increased antisemitism and violence that have been spurred by the war. Israel has a right to defend itself and its citizens in accordance with international law.
Right now, Congress has until the end of September to fund our government and avert a shutdown. It is my hope that we can quickly reach a bipartisan agreement to temporarily extend current spending levels. I will keep fighting to ensure that any continuing resolution we consider is free from poison pill policy provisions. Too much is at stake. This is not a game.
