WASHINGTON—Today, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, a Senior Chief Deputy Whip and Chair of the Energy and Commerce Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittee, and Congresswoman Nanette Diaz Barragán (D-CA), a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, reintroduced the Future Generations Protection Act of 2021. This bill would help ensure a rapid shift away from fossil fuel to clean renewable energy.

CHICAGO - Today, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, Senior Chief Deputy Whip and Chair of the Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittee, visited Sullivan High School in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. The Congresswoman was joined by University of Illinois System President Tim Killeen, the CEO of the Chicago Public Schools Pedro Martinez, and 49^th Ward Alderwoman Maria Hadden. Schakowsky is a graduate of the high school, and it is located in 9th Congressional District which she represents.
